All In Daily Devotional March 11: God’s Word Never Fails
First Redeemer Church
God’s Word Never Fails
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37
“None of the good promises the Lord made to the house of Israel failed.
Everything was fulfilled.”
Joshua 21:45
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”
Matthew 24:35
Life is good at reiterating disappointment. It presses a reminder that we were created for words that deliver and hope that is sure. God’s Word and faithful promises endure. There is a reason the wise man built his house upon the rock.
Over and over, the Bible tells of God doing what He said He would in a way only He could. Giants fall, oceans part, prison walls shake, and death gets no say. God’s words are never empty. Many in the Bible got to see this with their own eyes. We, too, have reminders. His cross and empty grave prove that not one of His good promises fails.
It is incredible. The Bible is not an antiquated book that served a purpose for just a time and season. We get to behold it steady still today.
The Bible is unlike any other.
It is a good and perfect gift.
It is a power beyond our own.
It meets us in our needs and makes us complete for every good work. We never fail to find a shield of refuge in the battle. His words revive and never lead us where we should not follow. They change us from the inside out and impart wisdom, strength, peace, hope, and joy, not our own. In them, we are secure. We can rest assured that not one of God’s promises will fail because, in Jesus, they are for us. Yes, and amen.
Do you, like me, need a reminder in a world swirling with disappointment? God is constant. Rains will flood, and storms are inevitable, but His Word holds fast throughout eternity. Today it is our praise, and tomorrow our song.
To where else can we run?
Who else holds the words of life?
We’re All In.
o God, we praise You for Your unfailing Word and that nothing is impossible for you.
o We confess our times of unbelief and forgetfulness that You do what You say You will.
o Help us believe and follow you in faith, knowing that You will not fail or falter.
o Help us build our lives and our church on your faithful foundation.
o We pray Your kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven and that we follow You well.
